REFLEKT DESIGN BUILD is a husband and wife team that specializes in highly custom, meticulously crafted interiors and exteriors. Licensed in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC, the team offers design-build general contracting for residential and commercial projects in DC metro region.
Our projects are thoughtfully curated reflections of who our clients are, where form and function serve as abstract portraits in the form of a home. We chose the phonetic spelling of reflect to echo this concept.

MICHELLE SCHMAUDER
Michelle is an artist and designer with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Rhode Island School of Design. She navigates the design-build process much like she navigates life; with intuition, curiosity, and a lot of flexibility.
She relies on cognitive empathy as the foundation for providing design plans that echo a client; the process of getting to know her clients is just as rewarding as the end result of seeing them reflected in their homes.
KEVIN SCHMAUDER
With a Bachelor of Arts from Virginia Tech in Interdisciplinary Studies focusing on vocational technologies and business leadership, Kevin manages the intricacies of the projects and business with the big picture in mind. As a business owner in the industry with over twenty years of experience, he navigates the design-build process with well laid plans and organization.
